NOTICE 


The City of Petersburg and Summerfield Township has set the annual clean-up day for Saturday, April 29th from 8:00 a.m. noon at Stevens Disposal, 16929 Ida West Road. 

No large pieces of concrete, tires or hazardous materials are allowed. Items must be canned, bagged, boxed or bundled. 

Proof of residency will be required.

BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING SCHEDULE



The Summerfield Township Board of Review for 2023 will be held at the Summerfield Township Hall, 26
Saline Street, Petersburg, Michigan 49270 on the following dates:
Organizational meeting: Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. (No appeals)
Appeal hearings: Monday, March 13th, 2023 9am until 3pm
Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 3pm until 9pm
The Board of Review will meet additional days as deemed necessary to hear questions, protests, and to equalize
the 2023 assessments. By board resolution, residents are able to protest in person, or by letter, provided protest
letter is received prior to March 14th at 9:00 p.m. Please send letters to Board of Review, Summerfield Township,
P.O. Box 98 Petersburg, Michigan 49270. Appointments may be made by calling: (734) 279-1214 or (734) 621-
8599, or email assessor@summerfieldtownship.org

Receive emergency alerts and other important community news by signing up for Monroe County's Emergency and Community Alert Program.  Monroe County Alert Notification System (MCANS) allows you to use multiple means of communication for the both Emergency Alert System and the Community Notification System.  In addition to your home phone, you may add mobile phones, Voice over IP (VOIP) land lines, e-mail and/or text messaging to be included to receive messages from both the Emergency Alert and Community Notification System.  You may also choose the order in which you receive the notification. These systems allow the County to easily and swiftly communicate with residents and interested parties through all of today’s available technology.
